A Life in Practice.
For more than twenty-five years, I have worked with children, parents and professionals, through therapy, education, bodywork and sound.
Experience first
Many paths brought me here.
My work has developed through decades of practice: sitting with children and parents, building organisations, teaching professionals, creating a school, working with the body and studying how sound can be used with care and precision.
Some of that work was clinical or educational. Some was entrepreneurial. Some required structure and leadership; some required close listening. Medicine Work Algarve is where those lines now meet.

Founder of a professional practice and methodology in expressive child coaching, developed through years of direct work and later taught to other professionals.

From founding De Paradijsvogel, a Dutch full-time school in Portugal, to making a home at Monte da Lareira, where work and daily life meet, walking in beauty, close to the land and learning from older ways of living.

Published by Boom Uitgevers in 2022, the book brings the Xpressief Coachen methodology into a practical professional framework. It grew from direct work with children and from teaching other practitioners how to work expressively, energetically and responsibly.
Club Helder
For gifted children
and their parents.
Club Helder grew from the need for guidance that understands both the strengths and the complexity of giftedness. It supports children and parents in making sense of intensity, difference, development and daily life.
This work remains part of my wider professional landscape: children deserve to be understood as whole people, and parents benefit from accurate observation, useful language and room to discover what genuinely fits.
Medicine Work Algarve
What I bring into the room now.
I work with sound and frequency therapy, sensory grounding, conversation and integration. I pay attention to what someone says, what the body communicates, how the nervous system responds and what becomes possible when the pace changes.
My experience gives me a broad frame of reference and keeps me curious. Each session starts with what is happening now and what you need.

My longer apprenticeship includes work informed by Hopi/One People teachings and Jungian depth work. I name that lineage with care, as a continuing relationship of learning, responsibility and practice.
I expect my work to keep developing. Investigation, reflection and learning remain part of practising responsibly, even after experience has been built.
